The person that has influenced me the most is my father. His message to me was clear. Learn to be self-reliant and take care of yourself. He was an avid reader and reminded me that I could learn anything as long as I had a book.
When I get older...(What? You're already old as the hills....No, no, no-You never stop learning!) I want to learn to play the piano, paint, write more music, and read as many books as I can. I'm going to have fun when I retire.
I am Mr. Ogden. I was born in Staten Island, New York, but the majority of my youth and young adulthood were spent on a wheat and cattle ranch near Grand Coulee, Washington. My parents encouraged all of us to attend college. After finishing I farmed for several years and moved to Bakersfield where I met my beautiful wife.
My favorite thing to do is to play my guitar. I started playing many years ago, and although I'm not the best player ,I can play many different styles. I can sit down for hours and lose sense of time with a guitar in my hand. I always tell people it's never to late to learn to play a musical instrument .
